Financial Assistance for Child Care Fees

If you are a student parent enrolled at the UW-Madison, you may qualify for financial assistance for child care fees through the Child Care Tuition Assistance Program (CCTAP). The program, which is intended to help eligible low-income students to obtain quality child care, is funded through student segregated fees recommended by the Student Services Finance Committee and approved by the chancellor and the UW System Board of Regents.

Campus urged to guard against norovirus

Several outbreaks of norovirus infection have been documented in Dane County recently. Norovirus (formerly Norwalk-like virus) infection is common in the winter and is sometimes mistakenly called “stomach flu,” says Craig Roberts, epidemiologist for University Health Services (UHS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dean reviews under way

Several years ago, the university implemented a standard five-year review procedure for deans. The purpose is to assess their academic and administrative leadership and their performance in such areas as external relations and resource management.
