Advisor functions added

The “Academic Advisor List of Advisees” and “Advisee Lookup” modules now provide a more complete list of advisees. They also include the course grid (which students see) and a list of courses and grades taken by the student at UW Madison.

Conference to set deer-vehicle crash research agenda

More than 1.5 million drivers nationwide last year collided with deer on roadways around the country, and the costs related to this growing problem total more than $1 billion each year. On Oct. 24-25, nearly 70 researchers, administrators, engineers and ecologists from 20 states, Canada and Japan will meet in Madison to present findings and set a strategic agenda for deer-vehicle crash research, funding, technology transfer and education.

Sasha Bergstrom-Katz, curator of the new undergraduate exhibition “Let Them Eat Cake,” says that its patrons and fans actually overlook cake. The exhibition, free and open to all, will begin on Saturday, Oct. 22, and be up through Thursday, Oct. 27, at 734 University Ave.
