Assemblies offer chance to learn more about plans for new south campus union

November 5, 2008

Campus and community members are invited to learn about the development of the new south campus union and the plans for the interim while Union South is being removed and the new building is under construction.

This assembly will provide the latest on site design, exterior and interior designs, landscaping, sustainability practices, the construction process, and alternate space plans for former functions, services and activities at Union South during the interim construction period, February 2009 through spring 2011.

Project managers will present material samples, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) checklists and three-dimensional models for attendees to explore.

A question-and-answer session will follow, along with light refreshments. The meetings will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17; from 9-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19; or from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19. All meetings will be held in Room 240 at Union South.

RSVP online.

The program will also be available via webcast on the building project’s Web site starting Thursday, Nov. 20.

Don’t have time for an assembly? What about a 30-minute version over lunch? Brown bag lunches will be hosted Monday-Friday, Nov. 17-21, at Union South from 12:15-12:45 p.m. Check Today in the Union for the room number.
