To maintain excellence in administrative practices, the university has implemented a review procedure for all deans and campus administrators.

In compliance with this policy, Chancellor John Wiley and Provost Peter Spear recently convened a review committee for Dean Kenneth Davis, UW Law School. The purpose of this review is to assess the performance of Dean Davis in the areas of resource management, academic leadership, administrative leadership and external relations.

The committee welcomes your written comments, and/or requests for an interview with a Dean Davis Review Committee member, on the leadership and administration of Dean Davis.

Family Caregivers Sought for Research Study
Are you currently providing care to someone with advanced cancer, or have you provided care to a loved one who has died of cancer?

The Center for Health Systems Research and Analysis is conducting a research study of family caregiver needs during the course of cancer illness. This will inform development of a non-commercial university-based computer information and support system for family caregivers of people with advanced cancer.

  • Who can participate: Adults (18 years or older) who are or were the main person regularly assisting in the care and support of a loved one with cancer.
  • What the study involves: Completion of a one-time mailed survey that takes less than an hour to fill out. The study is not believed to involve any risks. All information provided will be kept private. A reimbursement of $20 is available for filling out the survey.

Survey information will help provide better understanding of the needs of caregivers of advanced cancer patients and ultimately help the design of a computer support system to assist caregivers.

For more information or to participate: 262-8441 or 1-800-361-5481.
