Q: What intramural sport programs are offered at UW–Madison?

A: UW–Madison offers a wide variety of intramural, club and fitness programs through the Division of Recreational Sports. Some of the programs offered include capoeira, Ultimate Frisbee, yoga, lacrosse, fencing and archery. Q: Is there an official Parents’ Weekend this fall?

A: Freshman Parents’ Weekend, coordinated by the Wisconsin Alumni Association, welcomes parents of newly enrolled students to campus. It features a number of activities, including a campus resource fair, an evening of a cappella and a football game against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Paint for a week at Green Lake

Join other painters Sunday–Friday, Oct. 1–6, in a hands-on studio setting overlooking Green Lake. Enjoy the conference center while you participate in critiques, reflections and demonstrations on a variety of painting and drawing topics and techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors. League opens fall coffee to all

The University League invites anyone interested to attend its fall coffee and join the group for this year’s activities.

The University League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting volunteer, educational and social activities for its members and to supporting scholarships that benefit UW–Madison students. The league is open to anyone interested in supporting the university.

The fall coffee will be held from 9:30–11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at the Arboretum Visitor Center. Molly Murray, Arboretum outreach director, will present “The Four Seasons.” A continental breakfast buffet will be catered by the Memorial Union, and a hike will be offered after the breakfast and presentation.

Department changes name

The Equity and Diversity Resource Center has changed its name to the Office for Equity and Diversity.
