Children with HIV/AIDS to visit campus

December 8, 1999 By Jonathan Zarov

Children from Camp Heartland, the nation’s largest camp for children impacted by HIV/AIDS, will be visiting the campus to share their message of courage and hope with students.

The children will be at Great Hall, Memorial Union, starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9.

The Camp Heartland-Journey of Hope AIDS awareness tour offers students the opportunity to meet young people living with HIV/AIDS.

Campers share their stories about living with a life-threatening illness, going public in their communities, and their hopes for the future.
