If a tree falls… If a tree falls in the water, and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? This fallen tree, partly submerged in the creek that feeds University Bay on Lake Mendota, hasn’t made any noise for quite a while. But it does cast a craggy reflection amid the falling leaves of autumn.
