The answers to these provocative questions and more are just part of the Wisconsin Alumni Association‘s 39th annual “Day on Campus.” The event includes continuing education presentations by six UW–Madison professors, a luncheon, and the opportunity to participate in the last day of the Chancellor’s International Convocation. All programs will be held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. Program topics:

  • “The Psychology of Investors,” Werner de Bondt, Frank Graner Professor of Investment Management.
  • “Forgiveness Across Cultures,” Robert Enright, professor of educational psychology.
  • “Ibsen’s Women: A Norwegian Model for Equality?” Tanya Thresher, professor of Scandinavian Studies.
  • “Farms in Cities: A Possibility for the 21st Century,” Jerome Kaufman, professor of urban and regional planning.
  • “Bottoms Up: More Drinks Found to be Heart Friendly,” John D. Folts, professor of medicine.
  • “Man, Women, and (Mis)Communication,” Denise Solomon, professor of communication arts.

UW-Madison Chancellor David Ward will serve as the keynote speaker for the luncheon. He will discuss the university’s role in the 21st century.

The International Convocation highlights the challenges that globalization, democratization, and the information revolution have created for the world’s major research universities, and is followed by a variety of panel discussions. A registration fee of $25 includes lunch and all programs. For event and ticket information, contact Sue Miller at (608) 262-9647.
