Life on Mars? Hear One Geochemist’s View

April 2, 1997

Jeffrey L. Bada, a geochemist from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a leading skeptic of claims that evidence of life has been revealed in features of a meteorite from Mars, will give a lecture entitled “Life On Mars?”

Bada’s talk, which is free and open to interested members of the university community, will focus on the chemistry of the Mars rock and future opportunities for science and exploration to adequately answer the important questions it poses.

The lecture is Friday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m. in Room AB20 Weeks Hall, 1215 W. Dayton St.
