Coming up on the Big Ten Network

UW–Madison has regularly scheduled program time slots on the Big Ten Network. Look for our academic programming at noon on Tuesdays and at 3 a.m. Wednesday mornings.

Here is our program lineup for the next two weeks:

Tuesday, Dec. 14

  • Noon, “Office Hours”: Ken Goldstein interviews professor emerita Joanne Cantor about our abilities to think and reason as we multitask in this multimedia world.
  • 12:30 p.m., “100th Anniversary of ‘On, Wisconsin!’”: This documentary looks at the history of one of the greatest fight songs in college, “On, Wisconsin!”

Wednesday, Dec. 15

  • 3 a.m., “Wisconsin Reflections”: An interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends. Special guest: Academy Award- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Errol Morris.

Tuesday, Dec. 21

  • Noon, “Office Hours”: Ken Goldstein interviews dance professor Chris Walker about First Wave, the first university program in the country centered on spoken word and hip-hop culture. Special performances by Sofia Snow and Danez Smith.
  • 12:30 p.m., “Wisconsin Reflections”: An interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends. Special guest: National Public Radio host for “Whad’Ya Know?” Michael Feldman.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

  • 3 a.m.,“Wisconsin Reflections”: An interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends. Special guest: Lawyer to the stars Robert Barnett.

Tuesday, Dec. 28

  • Noon, “Office Hours”: Ken Goldstein interviews Nete Schmidt, a senior lecturer in the Department of Scandinavian Studies, about the phenomenon of Scandinavian noir literature.
  • 12:30 p.m., “Wisconsin Reflections”: An interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends. Special guest: Former UW athlete and athletic director Pat Richter.

Wednesday, Dec. 29

  • 3 a.m.,“Wisconsin Reflections”: An interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends. Special guest: Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actress Jane Kaczmarek.
