New visitor guide spotlights campus

October 21, 2010

A lively new publication that allows visitors to UW–Madison to navigate and discover more about the lakeside campus is available through Visitor and Information Programs.

The Visitor Guide and Map combines information previously included in two separate publications and helps visitors discover campus points of interest “ranging from museums to natural areas to the arts.

“We think the new publication does a terrific job at inviting visitors to explore some of the campus’s most interesting and iconic spots,” says Steve Amundson, director of Visitor and Information Programs.

He adds: “The new guide lays out a welcome mat for prospective students and their families, alumni and other visitors to campus.” The guide, produced in partnership with University Communications, includes a map of the 933-acre campus to make navigating the university easier, he adds.

To pick up a copy of the guide, stop by the Welcome Center at 21 N. Park St. or the Red Gym.

The new guide is a wonderful resource for faculty, staff and departments to promote UW–Madison as an educational destination. Campus departments seeking numerous copies may order the guide directly through Materials Distribution Service.
