March 31, 2010 By Stacy Forster

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Enrollment Management has announced campus visits for four finalists for the position of director of admissions and recruitment.

An open forum with each of the candidates will be hosted for campus and the community.

The schedule for the open forums follows. All members of the campus community and public are welcome and encouraged to attend.

  • Adele C. Brumfield, associate director of admissions at the University of Chicago, Monday, April 12, 4-5 p.m., Pyle Center Vandenberg Auditorium, 702 Langdon St.
  • Gary A. Clark Jr., senior associate director of admissions at the University of Southern California, Thursday, April 15, 4-5 p.m., Armory & Gymnasium (Red Gym), Media Room, 716 Langdon St.
  • Paul T. White, associate dean of admissions at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Wednesday, April 21, 4-5 p.m., Armory & Gymnasium (Red Gym), Media Room
  • J. Robert Spatig, director of undergraduate admissions at the University of South Florida, Friday, April 23, 4-5 p.m., Armory & Gymnasium (Red Gym), Media Room

A previously announced candidate, Perry H. Robinson, vice president and director of admissions at Denison University, has withdrawn from consideration for the position.

During each session, the candidates will be asked to take 15 minutes to introduce themselves, give an overview of their professional careers and answer the question: “What do you think is important for the campus and community to know about admissions?” The final 45 minutes of the forum will be an open question-and-answer period.

The director of admissions and recruitment establishes strategic direction, priorities and goals for the Office of Admissions and the undergraduate admissions process, and develops and implements programs to recruit and enroll a diverse undergraduate population of high-ability students.
