Following is a look at the UW–Madison-related programming scheduled for the next three weeks on the Big Ten Network.
Monday, Nov. 23
- 9 a.m. “Wisconsin Reflections”: “Wisconsin Reflections” is an interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends and is taped in front of a live audience. School of Journalism and Mass Communications alumna Sue Steinberg, co-founder of MTV and successful network executive and producer, is interviewed.
- 3 p.m. “Office Hours”: Political science professor Ken Goldstein hosts “Office Hours,” a half-hour weekly talk show. Featured will be global climate change and how it affects business.
- 3:30 p.m. “5-Minute Lecture”: UW–Madison professors summarize interesting research and teaching on campus in these mini lectures. Topics are stem cell research, scientific freedom, public opinion and leadership, and the benefits of hot peppers.
Tuesday, Nov. 24
- 1:30 a.m. “In My Humble Opinion (IMHO)”: Five student panelists discuss student life at UW–Madison on this half-hour show. Panelists discuss new media
Monday, Nov. 30
- 9 a.m. “Wisconsin Reflections”: CBS News senior political correspondent and UW–Madison alumnus Jeff Greenfield is interviewed.
- 3 p.m. “Office Hours”: Featured are veterans on campus, from the war room to the classroom.
- 3:30 p.m. “The Wisconsin Idea”: Magazine-style special features different programs at UW–Madison that highlight the Wisconsin Idea.
Tuesday, Dec. 1
- 1 a.m. “Office Hours”: Jenny Saffran, Distinguished Professor of Psychology, discusses infant learning and intelligence.
- 1:30 a.m. “IMHO”: Panelists discuss diversity on campus.
Monday, Dec. 7
- 9 a.m. “Wisconsin Reflections”: School of Journalism and Mass Communications alumna Sue Steinberg, co-founder of MTV and successful network executive and producer, is interviewed..
- 3 p.m. “Office Hours”: Racial diversity on campus is discussed.
- 3:30 p.m. “The Wisconsin Idea”: Magazine-style special features different programs at UW–Madison that highlight the Wisconsin Idea
Tuesday, Dec. 8
- 1 a.m. “Office Hours”: Andrew Kydd, professor of political science, discusses Iran policy.
- 1:30 a.m. “The Wheel”: Half-hour magazine-style program showcasing university stories and reported and hosted by students. Topics include nanotechnology, spoken word, Bascom Hill and campus safety.
