Wiscontrepreneur ‘100-Hour Challenge’ back for second year

March 26, 2008

A contest challenging students to use their entrepreneurial skills will be held again this year, and faculty and staff are asked to encourage students to participate.

The Wiscontrepreneur 100-Hour Challenge requires participants to create the most valuable, innovative or socially beneficial product or service using materials from UW–Madison’s Surplus With A Purpose (SWAP).

Participants must be currently enrolled at UW–Madison. Online registration begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. There, participants can download a $10 voucher redeemable for purchase of materials from SWAP. The vouchers can be used at a special SWAP sale held from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Friday, April 18, at the Inn Wisconsin Room of the Memorial Union.

Participants then have until 10 p.m. on Monday, April 21, to create something of value. Winners will be announced on Monday, April 28.
