Update employee contact information through My UW portal

Employee contact information as it is recorded in the payroll system can now be modified online through the My UW–Madison portal. After logging in with your NetID and password at My UW–Madison, click on the Work Record tab and locate the Contact Information module.

Changes to your home address, phone numbers and e-mail address can all be made through the module. Changes to your office address must still be made through your local payroll/human resources office.

When you make changes, your request is submitted electronically to the UW Service Center Payroll Office for processing. Address changes will usually be processed within 24 hours; however, processing may take longer during peak times such as W-2 season or the beginning of a semester.

Please note that changing your home address will only update it in the employee database. It will not update any other university administrative or academic database systems.
