The following Quicktime file allows you to sequence through the opening of the titan arum's spathe. After the file has finished downloading (it's a 500K file) place your cursor over the righthand side of the image below (it should change to an open hand). While holding down the mouse button, move the gripping hand cursor up and down to see the titan arum open and close. The images were recorded between 2 p.m. and 7:15 pm on June 7, 2001.
