July 16, 2015

ARMS is a program of WiScience at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. There are ARMS science clubs at more than 40 sites across Madison, serving more than 600 students.  The mission of ARMS is to boost science literacy and curiosity among regional K-8 students through innovative university and community partnerships. ARMS was initiated in 1990 by Lyle Hill and Bob Heideman as a partnership between what was then the Center for Biology Education (now WiScience) and the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Madison.
