Fruit development
This photograph shows the developing fruit. Since the Botany Greenhouse staff had a limited amount of donor pollen from Selby Garden's earlier flowering titan plant they never expected such good results.
Head pollinator and botany professor Paul Berry did not hand pollinate all of the flowers so he feels indebted to the many hundreds of house flies that frequented titan's bloom.
