Emeriti to see change in parking program

May 22, 2012

As Transportation Services continues to serve a variety of customers with diverse parking and transportation needs, the changing financial and spatial landscape of the UW–Madison campus requires that changes be made to a few of its programs.

To address these challenges Transportation Services has established new parking options for individuals with emeriti status. These options will be effective July 1.

Each year, emeriti can obtain a validation pass that will provide access to parking in any of the campus parking garages. Each validation pass will be authorized for 24 parking sessions. Emeriti will also continue to be eligible to receive an annual bus pass at no cost.

Emeriti who are employed in any capacity by UW will still have the option to participate in the annual priority parking assignment system and purchase any of the numerous permits offered.

A complete list of the options available for emeriti is available on the Transportation Services website in the emeriti options policy at http://www.transportation.wisc.edu/resources/policiesforms.aspx

Transportation Services says it values the many contributions of the university’s emeriti and believes the options provided will continue to support their involvement on campus.

Questions regarding the new options can be directed to Transportation Services customer service representatives at customerservice@fpm.wisc.edu or by calling 263-6667.
