Web chat: Student Safety

Friday, September 27, 2013, noon–1 p.m.

Dean of Students Lori Berquam and the UW Police Department will hold a web chat to answer questions about student safety in the wake of a series of recent armed robberies.

The event is aimed at UW-Madison parents, but the chat is open to students and the Madison community.

The chat will be held from noon-1 p.m. CDT on Friday, Sept. 27. Participants will include Dean of Students Lori Berquam, UWPD Chief Sue Riseling and other campus community stakeholders.

The campus is reacting to a series of armed robberies taking place in the downtown area of the City of Madison. The event is designed to raise awareness, take input from the campus community and discuss policing steps.

Participants are encouraged to submit their own questions or observe the chat. For those who can't participate in the live chat, a complete HTML transcript will be posted immediately following the event.
