Browne has served as assistant vice chancellor, student affairs for enrollment management and director of summer/extension programs at the University of California, Merced, and executive director of admissions, orientation and university registrar at UC Santa Cruz. He has a bachelor’s degree from Pace University in New York City and a master’s from California State University, Los Angeles.

The offices within the division, which include the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, the Office of Student Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, and the Integrated Student Information Systems, provide support and services to students throughout their experience at UW–Madison.

The vice provost for enrollment management, who reports to the provost, directly oversees a central administrative office with a primary responsibility to support the success of each of the division’s units through collaborative budget practices, development of human resources, strategic planning, project management and process improvement, while encouraging cross-divisional teams and initiatives and fostering creative and innovative thinking.

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified one of Kevin Browne’s previous employers. It is the University of California Santa Cruz.
