Members of the UW–Madison Community,

You are receiving this Timely Warning message as part of UW–Madison’s commitment to providing campus-area crime information in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or, Clery Act, as it is commonly known.

The UW–Madison Police Department is investigating two reported sexual assaults that occurred very early this morning.

The first incident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. – a female student reported she was touched inappropriately as she was exiting an elevator in a residence hall. The suspect is described as a white male, six feet tall, with short brown hair, wearing a black sweatshirt with white print and tan pants.

A second, unrelated incident happened early this morning inside a UW residence hall. It was reported third-hand to UWPD, and detailed suspect information is not available.
