April 16, 2014

The Association of Women in Agriculture (AWA) is hosting its Breakfast on the Farm on Sunday, April 27 in the Stock Pavilion at 1675 Linden Drive.

This year’s theme is “AWA Breakfast on the Farm: Where Families and Agriculture Meet.”

This country tradition will include a home-cooked breakfast, including pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, applesauce, milk, coffee, juice and a sundae for dessert.

Participants can enjoy the petting zoo, educational activities, a visit from Bucky Badger, live polka music, and a clogging performance. Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens (65+), $5 for students (K-UW), $3 for children ages 5 and under. Attendees can get a dollar off admission by bringing three canned food items to donate to the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

The association is a professional, service, and UW–Madison student organization. It is dedicated to serving and promoting all aspects of agriculture.
